HANAGRAM Puzzle Art Won Honorable Mention at the 59th Kanagawa Art Exhibition 2024 in Japan!

HANAGRAM Puzzle Art “Yamayuri and Clematis” won an honorable mention at the 59th Kanagawa Art Exhibition 2024 in Japan. The art exhibition is being held at Kanagawa Kenmin Hall from September 4th to 15th.

The two puzzle arts have the same structure and consist of 42 HANAGRAM puzzles with different color schemes. Each HANAGRAM puzzle is colored by 0, 3, 6, 9 or by other than 0, 3, 6, 9 to create an image. If you want to play puzzles, start with only green digits.

“Yamayuri and Clematis”

The design of “Yamayuri*” is characterized by six white petals with yellow stripes and red spots and six orange pollenated stamens. The three triangles in the center represent the head of a single pistil, and the dark green of the diamond shapes represents the leaves. This flower is the prefectural flower of Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.

* Yamayuri: Golden-banded Lily (Lilium auratum)

The design of “Clematis” is a layered expression of time, representing the time of blooming and after blooming. The purple part represents the six petals in bloom. The yellow part represents the numerous pistils that expand and become feathery after blooming.
